Brooklyn, N.Y. – Brooklyn Young Filmmakers Center will present a special conference at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus to introduce low-income people of all ages to the diverse career paths available to them in New York City’s extensive film and television industry.

Sponsored by the Media Arts Department, the event, “INSIDE MAN Conference: How to Get Started in Careers in Film,” will take place on Saturday, January 13, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Spike Lee Screening Room. Tickets are $25. (more…)

The Women of Color Arts & Film Festival celebrates, exhibits and distributes the artistic creations of visual and performance artists. The festival formerly known as “The Atlanta Women of Color International Film Festival” produced annually by Iyàlódè Productions, is now accepting entries for its 3rd annual Film Festival. The film festival features films and videos from across the globe by and about women of color. This year WOCAF will incorporate a music component in our 2007 festival.
